Cochran School of nursing Fall 2020

Published

Hello All!

I noticed that there wasn't a thread for this year so I wanted to start one.

I live in near Hartford, CT and I'm 25 and I want to start a career in Nursing.

I have a BA in Psychology with a low undergrad GPA of a 2.51 ?

So I'm taking the longer route to eventually become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

I do have a high pre-req GPA due to class retakes at several community colleges and I've also completed all of the pre-req requirements too.

Teas score of 76, and experience as Americorps state member at a health education site with 1700 hours.

Im hoping to take the kaplan test soon so any advice would help too! Admissions stated that they would give me a May 19 or 20th test date.

Anyone know when we will hear back from admissions after taking the test?

Also what score is competitive?

your absolutely right I feel like it molds your mind and helps your mental (or I just always said that to myself to keep me going). I saw so much talk about CNS on the monte thread I was on so I started to look into it and tried to give it a shot

I applied for both but got in to the day program

I received an acceptance letter yesterday for the day program!

Yeah I’m an evening person ?

Specializes in Pediatrics.

I am nervous now. My prereq GPA is 3.4 and I got an 85 on the Kaplan. But I have been in a program before at WCC so I am afraid that may stop me from getting in. CONGRATS to those who have been accepted so far!

I think you are definitely getting in. You got a great Kaplan score and a good GPA... you got this

I heard the WCC program wasn’t snt accredited. Is that true?

I agree, you have great score ! Woohoo!! when you applied did they ever mention to you that would have been an issue?
