I received my CPNRE results on February 14th & sent in my registration form + payment and police check by regular mail to the CNO on February 15th. Today would be the 11th business day since mailing it out and the CNO says they still haven't received my registration papers. I've asked the CNO to re-mail me new forms, but I'll have to pay for yet another police check (they only accept original copies). I just got off the phone with the CNO & they said 10 business days, so I'm assuming there's a chance my forms got lost in the mail now.
Is anyone else still waiting their registration number? I have two job offers waiting on me to provide them with that number so it's frustrating.

Before you pay again and send duplicate forms, wait a few more days and call them back. It's been 11 business days not including today. The CNO is located in downtown Toronto. Are you able to go in person? That's what I did.

That is unfortunate to hear. CNO recommended ordering duplicate copies just to be safe. CNO is located very close to the Bay TTC subway station and they accepted it right on the spot without having to wait.
but they don't process it on the spot, do they?
so I just got off the phone with the CNO. I sent in my forms February 15th, they received them on February 21st and charged my credit card today (March 2nd), well over the "15 business days". I wouldn't be this bothered but I have a job offer that won't be held any longer if I don't get this registration number processed, frustrating!

They don't count the 15 business from when you sent it.You also have to consider the volume of applicants they have to deal with.Patience.

I hope people learn from this and in the future, send important documents using registered mail. Thats what I always do.
Various posters have complained about the CNO, but you may not realize that ON has about 200,000 registered nurses, the highest of any Province. This is a busy time of year. If you're that concerned about your job, contact your employer and discuss it. Most employers will wait another week or two for you to start. They understand that your registration is required.

I sent my papers in feb 21st and I'm still waiting too . However I had a friend who said she faxed her papers to the cno so I'm not totally sure about the original police check even though that's the one I sent in too

Does your friend receive her registration? The CNO requires an original police record check.
Yes she did receive her registration and, this was done in October of last year. But i just don't want to take the risk
I asked the CNO about faxing as well, but they require original documents so they don't accept faxes.
