CNO Registration Times - Usually This Long?
I sent my papers in feb 21st and I'm still waiting too . However I had a friend who said she faxed her papers to the cno so I'm not totally sure about the original police check even though that's the one I sent in too

RPN or RN?
I actually finished the RPN program and am bridging to RN. I have to say that this is the best route because now by working about 9 months before starting the bridge and then working 2 days a week I'm paying my tuition myself without relying on credit cards or student loans. Also, I think being an RPN first makes you a better rounded RN eventually because its almost like your working from the ground up. You get to see LTC facilities, home care, flu clinics etc. Also, I;m not sure about anyone else but i happen to think there are ALOT of jobs for RPN's out there (mostly because we are cheaper to hire than RN's) I recieved 4 offers of employment after graduation in the GTA. You just have to look and put your self out there. Good luck

CNO- listing your employer question
Hi everyone, I have been searching for a while now and cannot seem to find the answer to my question. In the section of the CNO site called look up a nurse I see that some individuals have their employers listed and others don't. I was recently offered a job at a LTC facility, temporary casual and one at a hospital Permanent part time. I would prefer when my registration comes up that the hospital be my primary "contact" However, I do not start my hospital job and meet with HR for paper work until March 6 but start at the LTC facility MArch 1. How does this employer thing work? Is it recorded in order of the offer from the employer sent to the CNO or does the nurse report it herself? I am a new grad and waiting for my liscence to come....so I'm wondering Thanks, :)

Canadian Nursing Students
I just became an rpn and am applying to bridge to RN this year

Will I get accepted into the RPN to B.S.c.N. Program?
Also Ive spoken to alot of admissions officers and they have said admission is strictly grades based bc I guess some people thought work hours or recommendation letters would help their cause

Will I get accepted into the RPN to B.S.c.N. Program?
I'm also applying to bridge this year. I graduated with almost a 4.0 and the admissions office said they have not accepted anyone with a gpa lower than 3.7 in the last 7 years at uoit. Many of my friends who want to also be RNs are just going back to school to redo courses they received low marks in to boost their gpa. It's very very competitive but best of luck! Uoit is my school of choice as the program is year round and u can finish about 6 months earlier than other programs

So basically the test is valid and no one can really blame failing on the change of format...too bad they did not say the percentage of students who passed the exam. Results will probably come this Monday fingers crossed
