Hi everyone, I was just wondering does anyone know of any cna videos that might be out there. Like a video that shows someone doing all the skills you have to learn.
I took a cna prep class but it was only a 8 day class and we did not repeat the skills over and over so I am not confident enough to take the state board at this time. I do not have lal 19 skills down to a tee yet, so I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good study guides or videos?
Thank you so much

I am in the same boat you are. I took the CNA class many years ago and never had a chance to work, family reasons. I am taking the boards on the 29th of March and have not had any refresher. I can and do practice on my husband and family, my next door neighbor is an E.R. nurse and she is helping me with a few things also. I bought a CNA textbook from Amazon.com and use it to refresh my knowledge. I don't know about videos but try to practice on friends and family. By the way did you take the practice test on the experior web site? Also talk to any CNA's or nurses you might know they can give lots of great advice. When is your test? Good luck :balloons: . Please post when you have your results and I hope this helps.

I just finished a CNA program, and we were shown videos on how to perform certain skills, but all I can remember is that they were produced by a company called Delmar. I can't get more specific than that. I wish you the best with your exam. I hope you're not as nervous as I was. :)
Hey thanks for your post, yeah I do practice the skills I can at home, like occupied bed and hair burshing and denture cleaning, but the hard ones like Perennial care, and wheelchair are all hard to practice at home. And the school I went to didnt even have the dummies, we had to fake a cathetar and the perennial care. So it is real frustrating I didn't get enough out of the class. I wish I would have relaly knew what to look for in a cna class. Anyway thanks everyone for your post and when I take the test will let you know.
Thanks Jenn

Hi Jenn
I am currently in Nursing 2 and just got a job at a hospital as a nurse's aide, I am sure the hosptial or nursing home you work at will train you. I have learned taht being honest in what I have done has worked best, I tell the other aides, nurses, whoever, I have never done "whatever" and so far they have all been REALLY helpful.
Good luck to you
