  1. Thanks for your help, but yeah my friend of course I don't know where she is going with it if she does not plan to learn anymore. But she is a clinical tech she says in pedatric ICU at arnold palmer here in orlando and she says all she does is stock the carts for the nurses and she will feed the babies in the nursery. She does not know how to draw blood or even take blood pressure. So I was just curious how you would get in a position like that, I guess just knowing someone. Thanks for all your answers.
  2. Hello I have a question, how do you get the experience to be a clinical tech? Do you need to be a cna first for them to let you in the position? I know on all the jobs I see it says you have to have phlebotomy and clinical tech experience. But yet this girl I know, worked in the cafeteria at the hospital for about 6 months and on her break she would always talk to these nurses and she ended up getting a clinical tech job in which she has no exp. She does not know phlebotomy and does not have cna. So I was just wondering does anyone know how do you luck up and get those positions. Or the main question is how do you get clinical tech exp so you can apply for those jobs?
  3. Hey thanks for your post, yeah I do practice the skills I can at home, like occupied bed and hair burshing and denture cleaning, but the hard ones like Perennial care, and wheelchair are all hard to practice at home. And the school I went to didnt even have the dummies, we had to fake a cathetar and the perennial care. So it is real frustrating I didn't get enough out of the class. I wish I would have relaly knew what to look for in a cna class. Anyway thanks everyone for your post and when I take the test will let you know. Thanks Jenn
  4. Hi everyone, I was just wondering does anyone know of any cna videos that might be out there. Like a video that shows someone doing all the skills you have to learn. I took a cna prep class but it was only a 8 day class and we did not repeat the skills over and over so I am not confident enough to take the state board at this time. I do not have lal 19 skills down to a tee yet, so I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good study guides or videos? Thank you so much Jenn

Hello I was wondering does anyone know if Florida hospital or ORMC pay fo you to go back to school? I mean example say I am a CNA and I decide I would like to get my LPN or RN degree. Do they have programs like that? And if so how do they usually work, do you have to go to the school of their choice? If anyone has any info on this I would apprecite it. Thanks Jenn
  7. hello all, I am going to school to be a RN. But I am still in my basics, so for the time being I would like to get my cna just so I can start doing something while I finish up my school. But I have been seeing a lot of patient care tech positions. What is the diffrence in a CNA and a Patient care tech. I know at one of the hospitals here it has a lot of patient care tech positions that say all u need is cna. Well it reads like this below. Certification / Licensure: Certified Nurse Assistant - FL Required Expertise: Patient Care Tech/CAN What does the /CAN mean???? And I mean does that mean all you need is you CNA or what? I am confused on these job postings. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks Jenn
