How do I get my CNA while going to school for nursing.What's the fastest easiest way??

Moved to CNA forum. CNA is a certified position with a minimum classroom & clinical time as set by the dept of health or board of nursing in your state. It depends on what state you are located in.... courses can be completed in a few weeks or months. Cost varies tremendously from different areas of the country and whether a private for-profit school or government sponsored school (such as county college or vocational school)

Depending on what State you are in you can qualify to take the board exam if you passed Fundamentals of Nursing in the first semester of nursing school. Some hospitals will hire nursing students as Patient Care Techs who passed that course without being licensed. Or you can take courses through organization such as Saads they offer a two week course.

Is saad in north Carolina I need to get cna fast

The state I attending nursing school in (Ohio) you could take CNA courses, or just take our first class in our program - the fundamentals class. We could be a STNA (equivalent of CNA in Ohio) if we tested for it after our first course. Check with the state organization in NC.

Most of my classmates didn't get STNA certification because the hospitals in our area would hire nursing students as patient care associates / patient care technicians while we were in school and if we'd passed fundamentals plus passed one term/rotation of in hospital acute care clinicals. In our area/state it was a waste of money because the hospitals would hire you without the certification... Employment in those positions was contingent on being in nursing school. The hospital I worked at - we could work there as an assistant past nursing school graduation and per facility policy/state law up to 90 days after passing NCLEX-RN.
