cna/aua or medical assistant

Which would be easier to do while in college? I am going to tech next year and cant decide whether to do the combined aua and cna or the medical assistant program. I wanna work as one of these in college but which would be easier to get a job, better pay, less stressful ect... pros and cons of each would be appriceated. i wanna eventually be a l&d nurse or icu nurse please help me, im lost and need some advice!!

I don't think we have AUA certifications in California. Medical assistants usually work day shift. CNA or Home Care may allow greater schedule flexibility. Home care is less stressful.

AUA would be less stress flu and like the poster above stated you will have greater flexibility. You will also have the opportunity to see what RNs do. I;m in school and work as a cna on a med-surg floor and the hours work great with my schedule for school. Before I worked in the hospital i work a 8-5 job as a medical assistant and felt like i didn't have much time to myself let alone to study. I went straight to class after work so i did not have anytime to study right before tests. And that was M-F. The odds of finding a pt MA position in OKC are slim to none. So IMO the AUA route is the better way to go! ;)
