Clinicals on board exams?

Published

I just took my CNA boards (and passed) and am going to LPN school next month provided I can find a full-time second shift CNA position. The CNA boards consisted of a written part (multiple choice) and a clinical skills portion where you are evaluated doing skills by an RN. For the LPN and RN boards, is there also a clinical portion to the exam?

In Minnesota there is no clinical portion to the NCLEX. All computerized testing to show that you are competent to practice nursing.

Specializes in Specializes in L/D, newborn, GYN, LTC, Dialysis.

For nurse licensure----No, it's all written (computer-based)----called the NCLEX/ RN or /PN

The clinical tests come in school, believe me. And most places when you start, have orientation/classes to make sure you can do certain clinical skills properly (checklists).
