  1. Other than tuition, what additional costs did you have in the Capella RN to BSN flex path? Costs to use online library? Graduation fee? Anything? My employer offers tuition reimbursement so I need to know what I can expect out of pocket.
  2. Oops - looks like I can't read. You said that you registered in MD. I can't read, but I passed the NCLEX. Good luck again. Try to get some sleep tonight. Chances are with you that you passed!
  3. Hey VAguy- In case you didn't see my other thread, yesterday's results in VA are available. Call 1-804-662-7636 and type in your SSN. I passed! Good luck to you! DebbieLynne
  4. I took my NCLEX-PN yesterday and I must say it has been a horrible 24 hours for me. I kept checking and checking the VA online license look-up and nothing showed up for me. I knew I had failed. My questions were so incredibly difficult. I decided to call the number on the back of the brochure they give you when you leave the testing center. It turned out to be automated so I put in my SSN and I am licensed! I passed with 85 questions! I was worried why it wasn't on the web so I called a person just to be sure and she said that the website won't be updated until Monday. So all of you Virginia testers, the phone number is 1-804-662-7636. I wanted to share photos of my pinning ceremony at Southside Virginia Community College with everyone and good luck to the rest of my classmates! You will feel like you never attended nursing school when you leave the testing center, but have hope, you graduated from nursing school so you can pass this test! 5. Have you heard anything yet in VA? I've heard results post anywhere from 24-72 hours. VA is not a quick results state. Good Luck!
  6. Suzanne- What is the study plan?
  7. I'm scheduled to take my boards tomorrow afternoon. My weakness seems to be chest tubes. Can someone give me a quick review?
  8. I'll be graduating this summer, and my school doesn't offer graduation announcements as it is just a small school. I want something that I can customize to make it unique. Can anyone recommend a good company? How did you do your announcements?
  9. So many people have told me that I am crazy to go to LPN school that I should go to RN school. I will be working full-time while going to school. I chose the LPN program because I will be done in 11 months. I don't think I could handle school and working full-time for 2 years. I too am hoping that LPN school will be easier than RN. Has anyone here worked full-time while going to school? Also, can anyone who has been thru LPN & RN school tell me if one is easier than the other?
  10. Can someone enlighten me on the differences between an RN and an LPN as far as school, difficulty of school, and job responsiblilities.
  11. I just took my CNA boards (and passed) and am going to LPN school next month provided I can find a full-time second shift CNA position. The CNA boards consisted of a written part (multiple choice) and a clinical skills portion where you are evaluated doing skills by an RN. For the LPN and RN boards, is there also a clinical portion to the exam?
  12. Thank you everyone! I checked out a Black's Medical Dictionary from the library, but it's not too great. I think I will invest in a Mosby's. I searched online for these terms and actually got the exact same definitions for anoxia & hypoxia. Debbie
  13. This is my first post on allnurses. I'm getting ready to start LPN school on the fall and am taking some prerequisites this summer. Can anyone help me out with the difference in these terms. I'm so confused! APNEA ANOXIA HYPOXIA ASPHYXIA DYSPNEA They all seem so close in meaning. TIA - Debbie
