I was just wondering what your school requires you to wear to clinicals?
Just curious.....

Our "school uniform" for clinical is red scrubs (RED RED RED) and the school patch on the left chest. It's funny. It's stoplight red so it's like we have a "warning warning warning" going off all the time *LOL*

Cool, we wear red for classroom theory. Next quarter for clinicals we're wearing white scrubs.

My school has us wearing all white button down uniform tops with a dark blue stripe on the sleeve and white pants. We also have to have all white shoes and lab coat or jacket. Both our uniform top and lab coat have to have our school patches and we have to wear our name tags or IDs at all times. We had a student wear her cap the first few days and we all thought we would have to wear ours as well, but the instructor told her to remove it(unsure why). When we went through our Peds clinicals we had to wear white pants and a colorful print scrub top(for the children) and when we are in OR we have to wear the hospitals' scrubs and ID. At our psych clinicals we got to wear business casual with no jewerly not even our wedding rings.

Our school just changed its uniform last year. The old uniform consisted of white pants with tapered legs, a red polo with the school name embroidered on the left chest area, and a white lab coat with the school name over the left pocket, white shoes, and our name tag. They had a lot of problems with students wearing colorful underwear under the white pants so we no wear royal blue scrubs (shirt and pants) with the school emblem embroidered on the left chest area, white shoes, and our name tag. When we are on clinicals outside of the hospital we have to wear professional casual clothes.

I've heard classmates complain, but I actually like our scrubs. White bottom, shoes, socks, granny-panty underwear (yes. it's a rule. I don't think they would actually check, but..) with a navy scrub top. We're supposed to have the school patch by the V of the scrub top, but since our school recently changed it's name and they haven't gotten the new patches in it's kind of one big joke now. We have school ID badges we have to wear, but after surviving over a semester without the patches, I don't know how we'll all react to paying for them when they finally come in.
My biggest pet peeve about the uniform: Them see through white pants. I just have this intense desire to go out and buy those slip pants things for all of my classmates.

I am grateful for the fact that we wear navy pants! We also wear white tops and white shoes, and overall we don't look too bad. I think that the guys in my class are glad that the administration chose a gender-neutral uniform.

It's white on white for us. And 98% of us are girls and have a MAJOR problem with the white pants and that goes without saying I think! We have blue and gold piping on the pockets and sleeves, our logo on the front where a pocket would go, and have to wear those horrible tunics. Ugh. In fact, I have to change into it in a few mins!

We wear ALL white scrubs or scrub pants with white polo style shirt with collar.. MUST have white lab coat and school patch on sleeve with ID badge. Hair must be cut above collar or if long pulled up into bun or pony ,but can't be free-swinging...White shoes, socks, no jewlery except wedding band.. NO solitares.. 1 pair stud earrings with no other piercings showing. No tattoo's or body art.
A few of our instructors are hard-core wanting for all nurses to go back to all white uniforms, not just in our school but in all nursing environments.. Two hospitals in my area have gone to all RN's wearing solid blue scrubs and CNA, NT and LPN's all wear burgandy. The other went all nurses wearing white too..
I am ALL for unity and our professional image but I am a horrible white "wearer" I promise I will get it dirty..so then I feel unprofessional and gross having "dirty" looking clothes on.. I'd vote for khaki pants and solid top..with lab coat..Or solid scrubs other than white.. Just my 2 cents..

We wear "Galaxy Blue" scrubs (they practically glow in the dark) from Landau. I think they are quite cute especially since you can get the bootcut fit. I love em. They have our name and school logo embrodered (sp?) on the left front chest. I guess we do look like smurfs, never thought of it before. We are supposed to wear all white shoes but after foundations we kinda got lax-Pink anyone???
