Cleveland clinic pass physical capability after failing?!

U.S.A. Ohio

Published

Has anyone ever taken the physical capability at Cleveland clinic and passed it after they failed it?! I failed mine, waited the 90 days, and now I've been in touch with the recruiter and the time has come to retake it! I was surprised to have failed it to begin with since I'm 30 and never had a injury. I could manage to lose a few pounds, but can't most people say that?! I wouldn't call myself overweight. I'm so discouraged. I work at as an RN somewhere else and I'm easily able to transfer and lift patients! Any advice or encouragement is welcome! Just wondering if anyone hear of someone failing the 1st time and passing the 2nd. Thank you!

NEW update to physical capability test! I am a new applicant and after failing and retaking the test on 5/25/21 they have decided that this test is no longer required for occupational health clearance was implemented on 5/25 or 5/26. Just my luck, but good news to all future applicants!

So this is for all positions?   Or certain ones?

If it's for all of them.....this will be a sigh of relief for many applicants!!

Congratulations to you, as well.  AND  Thanks for updating this thread for everybody!

Cleveland Clinic always doing too much. About time they did away with that stupid test.

Yes, for all positions! The assistant nurse manager that I know that I will be on the floor working with said she complained about it because they are actually down PCNAs hospital wide and a lot of it has to do with applicants failing the PCE and moving start dates back or the applicant not wanting to retry. I'm sure she was not the only one to complain about this since it has been taken away now.

And thank you! Just trying to help out any caregivers that were thinking about applying!
