Has anyone ever taken the physical capability at Cleveland clinic and passed it after they failed it?! I failed mine, waited the 90 days, and now I've been in touch with the recruiter and the time has come to retake it! I was surprised to have failed it to begin with since I'm 30 and never had a injury. I could manage to lose a few pounds, but can't most people say that?! I wouldn't call myself overweight. I'm so discouraged. I work at as an RN somewhere else and I'm easily able to transfer and lift patients! Any advice or encouragement is welcome! Just wondering if anyone hear of someone failing the 1st time and passing the 2nd. Thank you!

Sounds like you failed because of the machine portion of the test, not because you are overweight. Just push and pull as hard as you can on the machine portion of the exam.

I find it insulting they even make nurses take that physical exam. Do they make doctors do it?

I took that physical yeaterday and I'm worried if I passed or failed it. I can easily leg press 250 lbs on each leg, but that machine made me feel like I was kicking and pushing a truck after the 3rd rep!
The good side is I was able to complete it without any aches or pains with a full range of motion ...but no joke the resistance is brutal.
They tell you to try to break the machine, well in order to do that you have to be like LeBron James
How I felt about how it went and what the computer says, though, might be two different things.
PS: I think eery health care employee has to do it
I felt like I did, but hopefully I somehow didn't and I pass it the second time around! Thank you! :)

Best of luck to you! I don't hear of people failing it often, personally I know of no one else other than myself that has failed! A friend of mine just passed and she said she was unable to go all the way up with her arms twice! Hopefully you can respond with good news! :)
That's a great question. Another commenter stated he believes all employees have to take it. After failing there was an email sent to me about light duty positions (that were not nursing).

I just took the PCE on Wednesday for the Cleveland Clinic. Does anyone know how long it takes to find out your results? Also, do you get your results through email or do they call you with the results regardless? I know they said it takes 48-72 hours to find out your results but I keep checking my email and the employee health portal and nothing is posted yet . I'm supposed to start orientation on June 27th.
I had also took mine on a Wednesday and I got my results via telephone the following Monday from my recruiter! Best of luck to you! í ½í¸Š
She said I passed so I'm good to go. I'll be working as a PCNA until I take my test
48 to 72 hrs for results. If you haven't heard by then...call your recruiter....they will be happy to look it up for you
That's great news! Congratulations!!!
