Hey! I am just starting this forum to see who else is applying for Clayon State's Spring 2012 BSN Program. I just applied and now the waiting begins..
I had my interview today and boy am I relieved to have it behind me. It went well but I must say it wasnt as laid back as I hoped. I wore a pants suit bc it was so nasty out. the questions were straight forward but I wasnt asked about my support system like some other people were. My interviewer was nice but very direct and to the point, I like that, but I could see how it could intimidating. Ive started looking at classes for next semester trying to remain positive so an2on or steph, is there any way I could have the email forwarded to me aswell. I would appreciate it greatly :) Im glad everyone so far had a good interview and I hope the rest of you do aswell. Fingers crossed, right?!!
I had my interview today and I feel that it went well. My interviewer was very nice and seemed like she really wanted me to do well. I hope for the best and I am so glad that this part is over. Now is the fun part of waiting.. I wish everyone good luck and I can't wait to see people posting that they received their acceptance letter..
Just returned from my interview,,,,went GREAT!, she said she was giving me the highest recommendation possible! Best of luck to everyone still waiting!
@Steph/an2on,,,thanx for all the insight and feedback. I see that our spring cohort will be full of many excellent and like-minded people. I cant wait to meet all of you.
Could I get that message from an2on???
Has anyone spoke to a Nursing student that has already experienced what the first semester will be like? Things like just how intense it is, and just how much reading and study time is really needed?
I know that these things will vary depending on the student, but I was curious if ya'll have heard anyone talk about this????
I heard that it is ALOT of reading and studying. One nursing student said that the first semester isnt too bad but the second semester and on is a ton of work and is hard! They also say not to work during the nursing program..but I will probably work part time on weekends still because the classes seem like they are only monday through friday so that shouldn't be too bad! Do you think we will get letters next week? I was thinking about emailing my advisor to see..im so anxious to know!! lol
My interviewer told me that I could call her next week, and she would go find out and let me know about my personal standing.
I do have a friend I wil see this weekend that graduated from CSU Nursing last December. I am going to get as many tips about study habits and study info that I can get from him. He had said one time that the frther he got into the program, the more he learned not to have to read all the text, and that there were study packets that compiled things a great deal.
Aww thats awesome!! so I am thinking that we should get something next week for sure. I think im going to email my advisor tomorrow anyways because on the fall 2011 forum people said that in the past the advisors told people that they were in before letters were out! Oh and yeah let me know what your friend says about the program..any info would be helpful! Did you get your CPR certification yet?
