An2on, or anyone else, 2 things. How does your uniforms fit in comparison to your normal clothing size? I am a tall guy, I wear 34x34 jeans, and usually XL shirts, I am a bit on the slim side, so I am worried about the leg length. Any advise?? Also, I know there are post everywhere on what people prefer when it comes to laptop/netbook during Nursing school, but what do you think is the best choice?? Thanx

Thanx so much an2on! So are you to wear uniforms every day, or only on clinical days? Also, you have probably answered this before, but from your personal experience so far, just how many hours a day have you had to apply to reading and studying, and are these hours true on your weekends as well, or is it even more?

Also, how many pairs of uniforms do ya'll reccommend that we purchase? Should we order all the uniforms we need buy the due date, or can we order more uniforms later on as needed? Thanx

An2on, or anyone else, which units should we specifically learn for our dosage calculations testing,,,,,meaning do we really need to know how many drams, minims, grains, or should we mainly know the normal conversions like mL, mg, etc. ? Thanx

Thanx Steph for that info. Yes, the book has a bunch of info on setting up unit conversions, with a ton of examples and practice problems. It is the third edition by Gloria Craig (Clinical Calculations Made Easy). It is an edition or two old, but mine was brand new in the wrapping..........Same info to learn regardless. I do not look forward to wearing ALL white everyday, they could have at least mixed in some blue or something----LOL!

Does anyone know what the best shoes to get would be? K-Swiss vs NurseMate? (Price + Comfort),,,,And, are the to be only white, or can they have any coloring on them?

Steph, I went ahead and bought one on Amazon. I bought a copy (new w/ CD) for $9. It is an older edition, but it will do fine for preparing ahead of time. Just want to be up to speed before I buy the bundle at the bookstore.

an2on, is this the $20 book on amazon, or the $60 book??

OK, I signed up at EDGT, and once I did, it gave me access to tutorials and tests (like Math Magic). I have not explored everything yet, but it def looks helpful.

I am going to get all of that figured out this weekend and get moving on it, I will let you know as I find out info. I have not set up my account yet, have you?

Steph, I actually priority mailed it today. I am not in class this semester, and I work, so I just mailed it to the Nursing School. I am looking further into the purchase of the meds book.
