Clayton State Fall 2011

Published

Just thought I would get a forum started as we await the decision. Everyone feel free to post your overall GPA, math and Science GPA, and TEAS scores. Also why you want to be a nurse and what specialty you would like to work in?

Overall GPA 3.38

M&S GPA 3.4

TEAS 80.7

I originally wanted to be an OB/GYN, but then I got pregnant and decided I would just become an account (math is my favorite subject). After my stay in the hospital (labor/delivery & postpartum) I decided I can still be in the hospital setting if I become a nurse. I want to be an OB/GYN nurse.:heartbeat I eventually want to become a certified nurse midwife. :D

Please weigh in Clayton State Applicants!

Well the advisor that I asked told me a score between 75-85 was considered competitive. She was the one who told me 200+ had applied. So she has been a straight shooter so far. Mrs. Lewis you have a great score so you shouldn't be nervous at all. I am though I have to get the interview I am fanstastic in interviews.

Great! I'm more worried about my GPA and M&S GPA...than I am my TEAS score.

I'm worried about everything. None of my GPA's or my TEAS score are particularly outstanding :(

You (Pomlover) and I are in the same boat! Our grades and TEAS scores are about the same!

I'm freaking out! :barf01: Good luck to both of us!!!!!

@Pomlover - Are you taking Patho this summer?

Yes, but I'm still waiting to get my immunization records straightened out though so I can register. I had to go in and get a titer test done because there was no date listed for my varicella vaccine. Apparently it isn't good enough for them to just know I had it, ugh. It's a serious pain in the butt. I'm excited for Patho though, I think it will be a really interesting class! You too?

The same thing happen to me. Lucky my county health dept had it on file. So I just got it straighten out about 3 weeks ago! I can't wait until Patho either. What scares me it they said we will need the class until we graduate. That's a lot to learn in 2 months! LOL

Sometimes I think I learn better in the summer because I don't get bored or have a lot of time to slack off. A regular semester seems like forever, especially now, lol.

Specializes in ICU Surgical Trauma.

Patho is very interesting it pushes you to think about how the body work in a diseased state. When you finish with that class you will think you are ready for any nursing program. Did you two get the email about advisement?

No. What did it say?

I didn't get one either...what did it say?
