Just thought I would get a forum started as we await the decision. Everyone feel free to post your overall GPA, math and Science GPA, and TEAS scores. Also why you want to be a nurse and what specialty you would like to work in?
Overall GPA 3.38
M&S GPA 3.4
TEAS 80.7
I originally wanted to be an OB/GYN, but then I got pregnant and decided I would just become an account (math is my favorite subject). After my stay in the hospital (labor/delivery & postpartum) I decided I can still be in the hospital setting if I become a nurse. I want to be an OB/GYN nurse.:heartbeat I eventually want to become a certified nurse midwife.
Please weigh in Clayton State Applicants!
Mrs. Lewis I will be sending an email next to the advisors to find out some of info about fall 2011. But I have a lot of friends who are in the program and I always ask about their scores and came to realize it doesn't really help to know anymore. I have a friend who had a 3.1 and a 70 on the teas and they got in. On the other hand people with higher scores and gpa's didn't get in. It's stressful!!! I know! Goodluck anyway..
There's always the interview that can make or break it. That was probably the difference between those students. I think as long as I get an interview I will be ok because I usually do pretty well. I wonder if the advisers will do some sort of practice interviews or something. I think I read somewhere that Kennesaw does.
Well, I heard they haven't sort out the students who didn't do well enough on the TEAS to be considered which means those 200+ will go down tremendously. I hope that makes us feel better. lol. But like I said before, I would like to give them some time to sort them and ill go see the adviser next week. They usually send interview letters out pretty quickly. Last semester they sent interview letters 3 weeks after the last TEAS testing date. This semester, as you all know it was Feb 21 so just count 3 weeks from that date! but of course, don't count on my word.

I'm a student at GPC as well. I heard there were a total of 812 applicants for Kennesaw! That is ridiculous! I only applied to Clayton! Praying that I get in! Did your friend get in, in the Spring. They said normally in the Spring it is only 100-150 applicants whereas the Fall has about 300 and they only pick 60 both times so Spring is a lot easier to get accepted.
