Clayton State Fall 2011

Published

Just thought I would get a forum started as we await the decision. Everyone feel free to post your overall GPA, math and Science GPA, and TEAS scores. Also why you want to be a nurse and what specialty you would like to work in?

Overall GPA 3.38

M&S GPA 3.4

TEAS 80.7

I originally wanted to be an OB/GYN, but then I got pregnant and decided I would just become an account (math is my favorite subject). After my stay in the hospital (labor/delivery & postpartum) I decided I can still be in the hospital setting if I become a nurse. I want to be an OB/GYN nurse.:heartbeat I eventually want to become a certified nurse midwife. :D

Please weigh in Clayton State Applicants!

OMG!!! I'm so excited! Summer registration start in April right?

Have you heard anything from GPC?

I didn't apply to GPC program...just Clayton! So wait the other 100 people that applied have already been rejected? So basically We should know if we have been accepted to the Clayton nursing program by this time next month??

No, we should know something before april. They are currently reviewing 100 students who met the minimum requirements.

Hope this help

But have they sent out rejection letters to the people who are no being reviewed right now? Just trying to see if they sent any rejections out at all?

I heard they sent those letters out to the people who didnt meet the requirements yesterday!

OMG! Scared to check my mailbox!!! LOL I'm confused though...why would people apply if they didn't meet the requirements? Are they talking about the TEAS requirements? OR other stuff?

You guys have me freaked out now, lol. I'm sure there are a lot of people who either sent incomplete applications or haven't taken enough pre-req's to be considered yet but applied anyways. I'm so worried I left something out of the packet, but I checked and re-checked it a million times to make sure everything was there.

So, do they call or send letters to invite you to an interview? Or are they not doing interviews at all?

They call for interviews but last semester I had applied before I took the teas because I thought id do well on the teas but I didnt so they sent me a letter 2 weeks after the deadline saying that I didnt meet the requirements. Then a week later after that my friend got a call for an interview.

But of people still try to apply with gpa's less than 2.6 or very low teas scores so they just send those rejection lettets out first. Then they review the remaining and determine who will be accepted, interveiwed, and then rejected!

So, I should be compulsively checking my phone for missed calls instead of waiting for the mailman? On the plus side, if there were only a little over 100 qualified applicants that makes our odds better at getting in. :yeah:

Exactly! I was kind of excited when adviser told me that. So ill have my phone next to me until I hear something!

OMG great!!! I'm so excited now!!!!

Have any of you already attended Clayton for a semester or this semester?
