For those currently in a nursing program (day program) what time are you usually out each day? Im assuming clinicals will go until at least 2 or 3pm but are lecture classes out before noon?

That seems like a good chunk of the day to have left if you get out before noon. Ive noticed some of the 1st semester lecture classes get out by 10 or 11am.......so that doesnt sound so bad (I hope) -Given that there is still tons of study/care plan time needed.

I think that this varies from school to school, so check with the schools that you are interested in. Mine is one day a week of lecture from 8am-5:30pm and then 2 clinical days from 6:30am-2:45pm. I know that some of the programs around here have shorter lecture but spread out over a few days.

I'm currently entering my last semester of 4 of a BSN program and we can not choose our lecture, lab, or clinical times. It usually varies by semester depending on what classrooms are available and what time the instructors are available. However, we only have 1 class designation, and not a day and evening program like some schools.

It would probably be best to check with your school of nursing. If your school publishes class schedules online for the entire college/university, be leary because our class schedules that are online with the rest of the university is vastly different from what actually is.

Good luck!

I just finished my first semester and my schedule was this.

Mondays 7-4

Thursday Clinicals, 7-12ish

I chose the long Monday instead of a Mon/Tues split.

But I also had pharmacology on Wed

My school runs on quarters/terms, so each term has been different. I have almost all of my co-reqs out of the way already . Currently I have summer classes monday-thurs 8 a.m-12. My clinicals will start next term (July 11th) and will be from 6:30-2:30. Others in my program who do not have the arts & sciences done have schedules that go at 8 am-5 p.m

In the fall I will have classes wed & thurs from 10 a.m -3, and clinical mon &tues from 6:30-2:30.

I am a 2nd semester ADN student. Last semester's schedule was:

Tues / lab -8am-llam

Tues / lecture 2-3:30pm

Wed / lecture 2-3:30pm

Thurs / clinicals 6am-1pm

Next semester:

Mon / clinicals 1pm - 9pm

Wed / 2 lectures and a lab - 8am - 6pm

Fri / clinicals 8am-1pm

Sat / clinicals 3pm - 10pm

Specializes in LDRP.

Yep, every school is different--here is my sched:

Mon Class from 2-4

Tues Class from 10-12 then 1-3

1 day a week we have clinical from 6:45 to 3:00 (0645 or 1500 LOL)--each person has a different schedule--last semester it was on Fridays.

Then we have to spend "free time" in the lab answering NCLEX ??'s.

Does anyone have a schedule for an accelerated program?
