Hey is there any people out there going into their last year of nursing school?!!??!

I'm in an ADN program and though I hope to have only two more semesters to go (god willing I don't fail) I'm so excited I only have one more year till graduation!

So I guess I want to start a tad bit early in celebrating our achievements, ups and downs, successes, breakthroughs, and whatever else we have and will face in our past and future experiences in our nursing programs.

Comment with your stories, hopes, support, prayers, shout outs whatever you feel like saying about our class of 2014!

I will have mental health and maternity this coming semester. My program is more oriented toward young kidless people and so all of the electives are in the evenings. We are required to take 1 elective so I'm opting to do an independent study instead, so that will occupy the remainder of my time. Our clinicals are 8-hour clinicals on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I do the morning ones from 7-3. This fall we'll have lectures on MWF, but spring we only have lecture MW. Going to be weird having 3-day weekends every weekend.

This fall, I'll be taking Peds, OB, and a new elective at my school called Mental Illness in the Movies. (It's about how the media's representation of mental illness affects social policies and stuff. I'm so excited for it!) I have hardly any experience with children or babies, so this semester should be interesting to say the least! Then, I'll finish my last semester (Spring 2014) with Advanced Med/Surg, Community Health, and one more elective (probably an EKG class my school offers). I cannot wait for the academic year to begin! I am determined to make this last year in nursing school my best year! Good luck to everyone! I hope we all have a great senior year!

I cant believe we're a year in people! last year at this time we were dying to begin! yay! next year at this time ill be awaiting my senior semester and internship. Cant wait! This fall will be my 3rd semester of 5. I should graduate in dec 2014! Taking OB, peds and mental health. I heard we are getting a few people who flunked so that makes me very nervous! I have all As and a few Bs so far, thankfully!

Anyone here apply for the HRSA scholarship? I did, I'm anxiously awaiting to find out...

I didn't apply but should of... I hope you get it though it seem like a great deal!

We always get returning students but usually they are very nice and helpful because since they been through it already they help us out.

Im scared though because I really want to so well and not have to repeat. I can only imagine how this coming semester is going to be like...smh!

Hopefully we can keep this thread going and be pull through next year together...hope everyone have a nice relaxing summer, good luck in your next semester!

I am in my third semester now, I can't believe how far I have come. The summer rotation is 10 weeks and I am so ready for it to be over with. I will be graduating in December with my associate in science degree, and May 14, 2014 with my nursing degree.......Then on to get my BSN. I am trying to stay focused at what is in front of me to get to the end of the rainbow. Good luck to all as we go through this nursing journey............Future RN's in the making!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm taking Pharmacology online this summer and feeling very overwhelmed! I need to put in way more time studying and reading. I also bought some used NCLEX books and some used med/surg concept books and I plan on reading over those once I get Pham under control. My first semester I struggled with organization and keeping the paper work under control so I need to set up my binders better for the start of next semester. I might take a trip to Staples and buy a crapload of dividers, tabs, and stuff. Hows everyone's summer break going?

I am not allowed to go to Staples with a credit card. lol My problem is I over organize.

I have the summer off! First summer in 9 years that I haven't been pregnant, nursing, or in class. I've expanded my garden exponentially and I've been doing the whole domestic goddess thing for the last few weeks. Boy am I glad for a break!

Anyone looking at grad school already?

My summer break is going going and seems gone! Lol I return to school in late August so I have a good month and a half so I think I SHOULD (imma lil ify to ise that word lol) be well relaxed and ready for my third semester...

I want to study my first and second semester material but I just don't know where to start or even If I want to start.

Yes I have been looking into grad school, I actually was talking to my friends about it yesterday. I'm just unsure what route I want to go into but I need to know ASAP because I need to start applying and setting up my applications (applying to places to get experience within the area of practice i want to do) because I don't wanna take a break because Im afraid I might not do it if I take a break.

What grad school (if any) /program/plan of study are you all thinking of going into? Or what are you planning on doing after completed school and becoming an RN?

Whoo hoo I'm proud to say that I will be a 2014 graduate as well. I'm starting my accelerated BSN in Sept!!! God is good!!

Hey all! I hope we all are enjoying and resting/relaxing on our summer vaca.

A few days ago I received a letter listing all the things my class needed to begin the fall semester from my school! I'm so not ready to go back. There's like two whole month before I go back and this list put me back in school mode ugh!

However its like a double edge sword because I only have one more year to go in nursing school and as you know in my previous post im beyond thrilled but I want and need more time on my summer vaca. ?

Has anyone else get a letter telling you want to need to start your fall semester?
