Class sizes

Published

I was just wondering how big everyones class size in and the good and bad points you guys feel having those small class sizes, I haven't started my classes yet but I know we have 12 people for our skills class, 24 for our Pharmacology and Fundamentals class and 8 for our Clinical Practice class.

How is your classes separated?

Specializes in MSN, FNP-BC.

There are 25 in my Dosage Calc class and 64 of us together in Fundamentals. That number is actually down because a lot of students dropped at the last minute probably due to the economy. I think the normal number is around 74 or so.

Specializes in Case management, occupational health.

When we started the first semester there was 100 in our program, we are down to 40 something now (most failed out, a few cracked under the stress and dropped out)

We have 6 -8 in each clinical group.

Specializes in Cardiac.

In my clinical group there is 12 of us. In my fundamentals class there is 70 students,

Specializes in Neuro ICU.

We started with 70 students, are down to 44 now in our last semester; the 44 includes picking up 2 re-entry students last semester. In previous clinicals there were 6-8 people per clinical group.

We have about 45 in our lecture classes, but only 6 in our clinical group.
