Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston Pacesetter BSN - Spring 2026

I am starting a thread for anyone applying to CIZIK for Spring 2026. How is your application coming along, what are your stats, and have you gotten any response at this time?

I will go first:

Application submitted 05/12/2025 via Ncas

GPA: 3.9 SGPA: 4.0 TEAS: 90%

Status: Application received.

Alright so I took the TEAS again and on my second attempt I got a 93%. (First time I got an 84%) My GPA is around 3.7 or so. I got my CNA certificate. I'm feeling pretty confident. Hopefully I see y'all in January!

Does anyone know where can we see if the school received our TEAS score?

Hey Y'all! 

I just took my TEAS and I don't know how to feel about my results because I got an 80%. My prereq GPA is 3.65 and my science GPA is 4.0. Do y'all think I should retake the TEAS for a better score? I know the minimum is 60% but I've heard that most people get in between mid 80s and above

Hello everyone!

For those who have been accepted, have ya'll started with the checklist? I tried making a virtual appointment for identification verification, and the only admission option is Fall 2025. I was wondering if anyone encountered this issue too?

Hello! I think you should only retake it if you're confident that you'll get a better score, since they accept the latest test result. Good luck!!

Hii!! I actually went to school to the ID verification.  It was pretty fast

I had to go in person to complete that part of the checklist. It was super easy, you can either go in with the complete form or fill one out in person and show your ID.

Hi everyone! I just submitted my application and nursingcas just verified it as of yesterday. How long did it take ya'll to receive an email from the school regarding application status or that they received your application?

Update: I spoke with someone directly from Admissions and she said that they are reviewing applications prior to the deadline if you have submitted your application and NursingCAS status says "verified". She also said that they will only look at it if they received your test scores and ALL transcripts including the classes that are in progress.

Ahhhh that's so scary. Mine has been verified for a couple weeks now, so hoping I hear back soon.
