Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston Pacesetter BSN - Spring 2026

I am starting a thread for anyone applying to CIZIK for Spring 2026. How is your application coming along, what are your stats, and have you gotten any response at this time?

I will go first:

Application submitted 05/12/2025 via Ncas

GPA: 3.9 SGPA: 4.0 TEAS: 90%

Status: Application received.

I am also confused bc they told me nobody would hear until around November. I'm freaking out a little bc I haven't completed my second try for my HESI, and didn't do as well as I thought on my first try due to technical difficulties with the proctor. I rly hope they don't look at my app with just that first HESI bc I'm supposed to take the second one next week.

Congrats on getting in! yay!! Question: If you are denied admission, are you able to talk to someone about why you didn't get in? For example, if you are missing a course or if a course does not transfer over?

I was admitted yesterday! I was surprised about hearing back so early... I didn't know they did rolling admissions. Does anyone know when in January the program begins?

3.7 GPA I think 3.6 for sciences, and 83 on TEAS. Definitely not the greatest but I also have a good amount of healthcare experience/volunteer hours, certifications, and extracurriculars!

Thats good!! When did you submit your application, are they doing rolling admission?

I submitted around June 20th, and I'm not sure, but I'd assume so since the application hasn't closed yet? Also, I should add that I am conditionally admitted, since I need to submit my final transcript in the Fall when I graduate.

I was missing a science course that was why I was denied if it wasn't I would have been accepted under conditions... they just need all the science pre req done

Oh OK! Thank you for your response! Did you have to reach out and ask or did they tell you why you were not admitted after you were denied?

Yes I did even though someone already told me my chances were slim so I just applied to Spring semester

Hey so I just called them just now and they told me that there is no rolling admissions for Spring 2026 and that we won't know their decisions until after the application deadline which is September she stated. She also said people who are getting accepted right now is for Fall not Spring. Hmmm I don't know...

Thats odd, my offer says for Spring 2026 and got accepted
