Hi everybody! I thought I could start a thread for those applying to UTHealth Cizik school of Nursing for Summer 25. Share stats and information as we hopefully get accepted!

when I had a meeting with an advisor she told me the way they evaluate transcripts is; they get all your stats presented to them blindly, they don't know your name or anything just your stats. they don't keep tally they just say yes or no till they get thru all the applications and then narrow it down to like 130 students

I received my admission email this afternoon at 4:48 pm! My portal now shows "You've been admitted!" 😊

In case you're curious about my stats:

Last name starts with C

Application submitted in October and completed at the end of December

GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 94

More admissions decisions are on the way!

Congrats to you! I am sitting here and my mind is running. I mentioned it a few comments back, but I just don't believe my stats are strong enough to get in. I'm really hoping that by some way I do:( I did better on the HESI but they told me if I didn't take the HESI with the institution, I couldn't transfer it.

I had admissions team call me today. They are sending admissions pretty quickly. However, they told me that my applied Microbiology does not count towards the prerequisite course. However, for a biology degree at my university, I only had the option to take applied micro and not general Microbiology. I guess I am not in the running anymore.

I also saw last year there was an issue with General Chemistry and Intro to Chemistry. Anyone got a call about their course?
