  1. I don't think this would work. I believe the classes have to be completed fully first. Potentially before you can even enroll in your nursing classes because the missing classes show up as a hold until cleared. Have you checked HCC? They usually have online classes with a lot of different start and end dates.
  2. The classes I'm still taking are Philosophy and Sociology, so they just have to be done by the program start date, and I'll be done with them in a week. I had already completed all of the required Science courses by the application deadline.
  3. I took a couple repeated (non-science) classes. Assuming they took the better grade I got in those then my stats would be: Prerequisite GPA: 3.89 Science GPA: 3.6 TEAS: 87.3 I also have a previous bachelor's degree and am still completing 2 prerequisites so my acceptance was conditional. If they didn't take the higher grade in the repeat classes then my prerequisite GPA was probably closer to 3.6-3.7
  4. I also just got accepted to Cizik (like 30 minutes ago). Once I formally accept my seat later today, I'll call UTMB and decline my spot so hopefully, someone on the waitlist can get in. A ton of Cizik acceptances went out today, so hopefully more UTMB seats open up.
  5. Me too! We all are bonded for life with the stress we just went through. Haha ?
  6. I just got accepted! I'm literally crying! Congratulations to everyone else!
  7. Yes that's exactly what I'm going to do. I have to accept my spot with UTMB today. I'm not going let it slip away because I'm waiting on Cizik so I'm going to accept and if Cizik accepts me later I'll just bail with UTMB. It's not ideal, but I gotta do what I gotta do.
  8. Congratulations! You've got 2 wonderful options! I didn't get anything today, so that's probably not a great sign.
  9. Haha. Trust me, I know. It's killing me to not know anything, too. But I think this says more about Cizik just being slow pokes than it does about our applications or chances of getting in at this point. I've just been trying to distract myself with other things.
  10. I think y'all are getting ahead of yourselves. I don't even think they've sent out the second wave yet. Plus it's not even March yet, and the deadline is mid-April. They're just taking a long time to make decisions and get them sent out. Which sucks, but don't give up hope.
  11. Hi, yes I applied for Summer start, and that's not true! They send out admission in 2-3 rolling waves! Some people already received acceptances at the beginning of February! We're currently waiting for the second wave, and it'll probably roll out any time in the next few weeks. There's an Allnurses page called Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston Summer 25 Applicants where we've been discussing it, if you want to check it out! I also plan to put my deposit down on UTMB to secure my spot if I don't hear back from Cizik by Friday, but honestly Cizik is my first choice, mainly because it's much closer to me.
  12. Not yet, but I might if I get an acceptance from Cizik this week. I have until Friday to decide. I'm assuming none of the next step emails will come through until I formally accept my seat?
  13. Looks like another week gone with no update. Hoping we get an answer next week because next Friday is my deadline to decide if I'm going to go with my second choice school, UTMB. It's just sooo much more of a commute. ? Cizik needs to hurry up!
