Hello everyone,
I apply for the nursing program and I have a pre-req GPA of 3.5 and a teas score of 72. i just wanted to know what are my chances of getting in. Does anyone knows what was the cut-off for last semester. and finally when do we get the acceptance letter for Spring 2016?
Thanks
You have to email them to [email protected] and let them know you're accepting your admission. Do it ASAP
no, that is not always the case askmeanything. Your gpa is more than just test scores. Its homework, paticipation, project assignments. The teas is strictly right or wrong answers. Test don't always indicate your correct standards and ability. Thats why so many people are against city wide testing
You need a 2.5 GPA for your application to even touch the Nursing Dept's table; you NEED to pass EACH content of the TEAS. The only time they dissect and look in depth at your TEAS is if you've a low GPA of 3.5 and below and they are contemplating between you and another person with an equally low GPA. If you've a high GPA of 3.6 and above, they only look to see if you've passed the TEAS that's it. Every single student in the Nursing dept had at least a 3.6 GPA when they got accepted. I got in with a 4.0 GPA but I barely scraped through with the TEAS. THEY DO NOT ACCEPT ANYONE WITH A GPA OF 3.3 or LESS. If by chance you do get accepted, it's only because they needed to fill in an extra spot.Good Luck

So, how do you like the program?.. Is it difficult? Are the teachers good at communicating the information? I read somewhere that they are disorganized and they make errors on exams and don't take responsibility for it. Please let me know how your experience is going so far because I am thinking of applying for their nursing program. I am currently working on finishing my prerequisites at City Tech. Also, are you in the day program? What are the hours?
