Yeah! I was there yesterday. The class ended up being easier than I thought. I'm actually thinking of taking pre-calc to get my gpa weighted instead. Since I transfer, I should qualify to retake the placement test. Do you think I should risk it instead of getting a A in Math1275co.

@Anny yes I agree! Hopefully it remains at this level so this can be breeze. Do you know if he said if the final was cumulative or if he drops the lowest grade? Well pre-cal and this class are 4 credit hours each and I believe this math class is a pre-req for pre-cal, so for me it wouldn't make much sense in taking that class as long as you can get the A here. You wouldn't need to take the placement test, that is only for freshman. Have you decided on when to take the Teas?

I haven't decided on when to take it yet. It says that we have to take it with the psi, do you know what is that?

Hey @Anny sorry for the late reply! Sometimes this gets sent straight to my spam box. So PSI is a testing center that proctors various test and the ATI Teas is one of them, it's a few steps you have to take and it can be kinda tricky, but you first have to purchase the actual test from the Ati teas site. Once you do that, you'll get a confirmation email confirming your purchase, then after you'll get an email with a code you'll use to Schedule your test after you've created an account with PSI. It can be Kinda confusing but I'm more than happy to show you in person next class if you'd like.

Does anyone knows what happens if you failed one of the pre requisite. First time I took math 1190 I failed sadly but I re took it the fall 2019 semester and got an A . I’m worried is that acceptable?

Hey @Myavitz, I believe they'll count your second attempted. So you should be good.

@B20 that’s great !! Also do they look at your biology 1101 grade ? My first semester in college at city tech I withdrew so I ended up with a W. I retook that an received a C . These were my two major concerns . Having a W in biology 1101 then a C the second time around ,,,,,and also failing 1190 even though I received and A the second time .

What do you mean weighted gpa if you take pre-cal. How does this calculation work. I would like to know because I took calculus 1475 and got a C+. What would that equal to? Also any idea if they would allow me to just take math 1275 instead

Hey! For the TEAS, we should take the TEAS for nursing right? There's teas for allied health and teas for nursing. I don't want to end up taking/buying the wrong one since it is not refundable and such.

Hey @Anny I just looked at the email when I originally purchased it, and unless they changed it, its TEAS for Nursing. Good Luck! let me know how it goes for you.
