  1. Hey! Has anyone else got a email from the nursing department saying that their application has been updated and that they were accepted? I got a email that I was rejected when the emails first came out.
  2. Does anyone know the cutoff? I didn't get anything.
  3. Yeah I applied but I am not confident.
  4. I think I'll end up with a 3.48. There is a chance it might be a 3.56, but it's slim.
  5. I have ENG 1121 covered by my APLit score, I got it as a credit, do you guys think that they will accept it? Does anyone know the cut off for past semester? I'm starting to think I won't have a chance. ?
  6. Yeah, my test got canceled like 3 times so far. Right now my test date is 5/1. Hopefully, it goes through.
  7. Please see and read previous message. By send, I mean email.
  8. I registered for the exam for April 17th at first. However, given recent events, I rescheduled for April 10th. Both at times were at the same location. I was later notified that it was canceled. I rescheduled for March 28th. The application deadline got extended from May 1st to May 22nd. However, how is that going to help when we are ordered to stay home? And if testing centers are shut down?
  9. I got notified through email. You scan the materials and put them into a pdf and send them. If there is a shutdown/lockdown or stay home, we can't go out and we can not take the test. When I asked about that all the person said was that "deadline has been extended to may 22nd." Like that's going to help when one part of our application is missing because we can't go and take it.
  10. Hey! Is anyone taking the TEAS? My TEAS just got canceled and I rescheduling it. But with recent events, it may get canceled too. In addition, there might be a lockdown/shutdown and we can't leave our home. I emailed someone from the nursing department about what will happen if TEAS get canceled, but all they said was that because of covid-19 the deadline extended to May 22nd. The original deadline was May 1st. It's just delayed 21 days. If the exam cancels, we can't do anything regardless of that extension.
  11. At this point, does anyone have any idea at what's going to happen with the nursing program and this semester's application? It's going to be online classes from now on and I am doing two pre-reqs (Math1275co and Bio2311). Does anyone know what's going to happen with Bio2311 (especially the lab portion)? Also, do I still have to hand in my application by hand? After all, everything is online now.
  12. Well that sounds hopeful. She has an impressive resume.
  13. Hey! Do you think that things are going to be better with the new chair? Should I start at city tech and try it out before making any decisions? As a current student, what would you recommend or advise? At this point, I am wondering if I should transfer. I am looking into farmingdale state college. However, that program is only for the Spring. So I was thinking of doing one semester of the nursing program here at city tech next fall (if I get in). Then making a decision to if I should transfer or not.
  14. Okay that now is messed up. If you are going to open a nursing program, you should at least have the resources and stuff you have working. All you have to do is connect them. How does this school still have it's accreditation?
  15. Yeah that's the post I saw. After reading that I got really scared. I guess the main thing is that I'm not scared of working hard. I'm just scared of outside factors that I can not control and administration making thing complicated for no reason or just straight up messing up.
