Hello everyone!
I applied to my home college's nursing program. I applied to a few BSN programs and other CCs. Since I can't get into any BSN programs I figure my top choice ADN program could have some consideration on me.
Anyone besides me waiting to hear from Citrus?
I am thinking we should hear sometime in May, hopefully early May
DBP:
i couldn't PM you, because I don't have 15 threads or something.
but my email is [email protected]
lets get together and study the TEAS or help me study since you've taken it 2x. :/ talk to you soon
:)
Hey all congrats to everyones hard work. Congrats to getting in or for alternate status. I declined my alternate status at Citrus. I am going to RH. I saw you were discussing numbers of alternates so wanted to let you know there's another alternate spot open. I hope you all start school soon. EVERY pre-nursing student has a place in my heart. I know how hard we've all worked to get where we are!!! :) xo
checked the mail and no luck today. The counselor said we will receive a notification via mail regardless of acceptance, rejection, or alternate status. I got a rejection e-mail from csula on May 1st, but many people have yet to receive anything from them yet, so maybe its due to having more applicants than usual. i applied to 4 schools and csula is the only response i got so far.
Ricdel:
You applied to CSULA? and you got rejected? I haven't heard from them. Since last (last) Friday they are still 'working' on my app. If I may ask, what were your points?
Where else did you apply?
I would call Citrus and make sure they haven't sent anything. Responses need to be made before May 16th I believe and if your mail got lost then you might miss your spot.
yeah i got rejected, i had 19 points, so i knew i wouldn't get in at CSULA. Just called Citrus, and they said we still have another week to get a response. I also applied to PCC and LA County school of nursing. I have 84/92 points at LA County, i don't know how competitive that is compared to others, though a friend got in with 83 points in 2009. I heard PCC is lottery based, then its just luck of the draw if i get in there.

Oh that bites!
Well I guess we will have to wait. I wonder how high are chances are and how many of us there are. I know you, me, and my coworker are all alternates. I mean the cohort is only like 24 people. That is VERY small compared to other programs. So by that, what they have 5-10 alternates? If that! The programs that accept 90 would still have 20+ alternates. I would imagine the smaller the program, the less alternates. I really want to know my number. And I really do not want to take the TEAS. I already took it twice. When do we take it? May something!?
