Christmas off duty

Hi! Not doing too badly myself. By offering to work night shifts over the unit Christmas party (bah humbug ;-) I finish nights on Christmas Eve morning, and get about a week off before coming back for NY Eve - long day. Then again, this means I'm on a run of 7 12.5 hr night shifts now - thank goodness for internet shopping!

so, girls and boys, what is your schedule over christmas? did you get good or bad off duty???
i didnt do too bad, only working christmas night and the 28th and 29th!
our ward is so heavy though, only 4 are not all care and of those four two are really confused one being very violent and needing sedation!!!
so go on tell us about your schedules :) and those of you who made it this year to the usa from the uk, tell us how you will be spending your christmas day

I'm off from today(thurs) until the 30th so thats not bad working new years eve until 7pm then off.

On xmas day we've invited to friends but we probably won't go until after lunch given that i've had all my fav foods shipped in!!!!!!

Boxing day we have a party so lots of food and drink.

working in gp surgery good as finish tomorrow until wednesday until friday then back on the 2nd. Can't grumble

I finished yesterday and go back on the 29th, will be working 12 hour shifts all over the new year though. Can't complain I much prefer having christmas off to spend with my little girl

Working early christmas eve and christmas day. Working early new years eve and late new years day. Husband cooking christmas lunch (he does it much better than me. Have a merry christmas and a happy new year!!!!!

Thats terrible off duty you are working everything. We try to give at least one of those days off.

I finished Nights this morning an not back in until 7pm on the 27th,in for 3 then off for New Years Eve and back in New Years day night at 7pm....much better than last year as my first one in the USA. Last Year I only had Christmas Night off in a run of 10 nights.:angryfire

It has promised rain in Florida tomorrow so plans to hit the beach in the afternoon may be dashed

i was off for 3 days until tonight when i was 12 hour nights,,,,census is low so they called me at 5pm to cancel me,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

me i'm not complaining.

am working 30th, but off the 31st, another male nurse whose wife has just returned to work after having a baby, swapped with me as it was easier for him.
