CHOP New Grad RN Talent Pool 2019

Nurses New Nurse

Published

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone who got accepted into the CHOP new grad RN talent pool in March/April heard anything from them yet as far as jobs.

Hi everyone, I got a job in centralized nursing ops (float pool) at CHOP and I’m sooooo excited to start and meet all of you!

Hi! Has anyone hired created any sort of facebook group or anything? I start Monday and was hoping to know someone before I started!

Hi guys I was sent the reference checking survey for my references to complete and was wondering if they do this for everyone they interviewed or those they are going to offer a position too. I interviewed exactly 2 weeks ago and when I got the email I got a little excited. I don't want to get my hopes up so I'm wondering if anyone knows if they do this for everyone. Thanks

Anyone starting Monday in central nursing ops?

Anyone know how long it takes to hear back after interview

@amy1224 I'm not sure but please keep us posted on when you do hear back! what unit did you interview for?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has recently been invited to interview for any particular units? I have an interview with the Hematology/Nephrology unit next week and I’ll be flying in from CA. I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is a universal start date for residents this fall, or do units start on their own time? I asked HR and they haven’t yet responded - my main concern is I only have my CA license right now and would still need to apply for endorsement.

There was two start dates every months, so every two weeks! HR will work with you to make sure you have enough time to get everything done before your start date. CHOP is really flexible with new grads and know that licensing can be a time issue so you shouldn’t have to worry!

That’s good to hear, thanks so much!

How do you know if you’re in the RN talent pool? If you don’t get the first interview, are you placed back in? I had a video interview and then just now an interview in person. I’m afraid if I don’t get the position that I won’t be in the RN talent pool. I never received an email confirming that. I had an in person interview for the residency though. Wish me luck!

Specializes in OR.

I recently got selected for a StarRN apprenticeship for the OR here in Augusta GA. I only did one in person interview and it was the last and final day for interviews. I was assured after the interview that I pretty much had the spot. I was contacted the very next day with a verbal offer and then all the on boarding process began. I start my first day Monday Oct 7th. Hope you get some good news that you got in. What department did you apply for?@CierrahO

I applied back in August and heard nothing till about two weeks ago when I did the video interview. The day after the video interview I was offered an in-person. Have my in-person schedule for two weeks from now but not sure how I feel about the unit. Keeping an open mind till I shadow/interview!
