Choice between LICH, Queensborough, and Beth Israel

Published

Hey I was looking for another person's opinion (hopefully from someone who has attended any of these schools). I was accepted into LICH and Queensborough community college. I am currently on the waiting list for Beth Israel. I was wondering which would you choose?

congrats on being accepted to both schools!! do you live in queens or brooklyn? i go to LICH and i live in queens. the commute can be long depending on traffic. LICH is a good school. I would recommend it. I don't know much about queensboro's programs. Lich is definately a competitive program, but it's worth it. good luck in choosing =):specs:

I attend Queensborough and absolutely love it. Were you accepted for the morning or evening program? There are a lot of resources available for students. Peer mentors, Practice Lab, Video lab, private study areas, peer tutors. The instructors are awesome, very approachable. So far I have been at 2 clinical areas NYHQ and Jamaica Hospital the staff at both places were very open, to the students our clinical instructors are well respected. My overall experience was thus far has been very positive.

I have decided to go with Queensborough. I was accepted for the evening program and I actually chose NYHQ as my clinical site. After hearing what you've said it seems I've made a good choice. Thank you so much.

Congratulations!! I am also in the evening program going into my third semester. If you attend the orientation on the 25th of August you will get to meet some of the instructors, upperclassmen as well as your other classmates. There will also be additional information available regarding the resources i mentioned before in the previous post.

I was just accepted to Queensborough on the wait list for Beth israel also..I was not able to walk through the door and start clinicals but I can start 1/2009. I was told my grades are good and I have a great chance of getting in for spring 09 so I will stick with it.But a back up plan is in order.. Good luck

Congrats Excited02:yeah:

I am a gradute from BMCC and lived in Oakland Gardens at the time I attended BMCC. I originally wanted to transfer my credits from a previous Bachelor's I have and attend QCC and I couldn't b/c to be considered for that program, I had to have all my original credits from QCC and not transferred--- so consider yourself lucky - it's a great school and for the price - you can't go wrong!!! I've heard nothing but awesome things from that school (i love my school too :redpinkhe )

Study hard and kick butt :nurse:

I went to BI- and loved it. However the school has rapidly expanded- so it is much larger than when i started two years ago!
