Hi all! I was wondering who else is applying to the CHOC New Grad program for the June 2017 cohort. I've been checking the website and nothing has opened up. Anyhow, let's keep each other updated here and good luck to all my fellow new grads!

I just applied. First choice NICU and second choice CVICU. I work next door at St Joes and would love to move to CHOC next door!!

I applied to PICU and NICU. I am a SoCal native living in the Bay Area right now, so would love to stay in California if possible :)

Application is now open!

Thanks for the update! I applied to PICU also. Good luck everyone!

I am still working on my application. Anyone know the breakdown of the openings by unit?

hi! does anyone know how long till they start calling for interviews? thank you :)

The application is still open for a bit so I wouldnt think until after its closed and they have had some time to look through. Past threads have seemed like they call within a couple weeks but this time may be different since it was such a iffy cohort. As i said before i was told there are 35 spots.

The had an info session at my school and they said it would be open for two weeks and then take some time to review the applications. I would anticipate end or may or June.

Did they happen to say how many openings per unit?

Does anyone know how long the application will be opened for?

Hello all applying to CHOC's RN Residency Program,

For those who have completed the Application, how many open ended questions do we have to answer throughout the application?

I am still on the Step 1 of the application which is "Personal Information", and I noticed there is 2 there. I am wondering how many more.

I noticed that we have to finish each section completely before moving on to the next one :(.

Thanks!

I think those are the only 2. You should be able to jump around if you just type anything in so that it looks like you answered. Save as a draft, then go back to it later.

Any advice on what to put for min salary? Glassdoors says avg is 40/hr (~65,000 a year).. but not sure how reliable that is.
