Hi fellow nurses! I am Sherry and I applied to the CHOC fellowship for multi specialty area recently & was just wondering if anyone else has applied for it too?
i graduated in May 2017 so technically I’m not considered a new grad, but I’ve never actually worked in an acute care as a RN, only outpatient. so technically I’m a stale new grad? it’s super difficult to make it in the hospital w/o acute care experience, so I decided to apply to the fellowship!
I applied to the NICU fellowship program. To my knowledge, I have not received an email for interview ??? but my application still says “under consideration.” From this thread, it sounds like the deadline for emails has already passed ? so I’m confused. Anyone hear from NICU?!! Do I still have a chance? I am devastated. So that I can search my email and just in case I missed it, who is the email sent from? Maybe I should call HR?

I also applied to NICU (for the residency program) and did not hear anything. My status also says "under consideration" but I don't think that will change until they have made all offers and filled the positions. That is when we will hear that we weren't selected. HR would probably be able to give you the best info tho!
