CHOC RN Residency February 2018

Published

Hey Everyone! I can't wait to apply for CHOC's residency. Who else is applying and to which unit? I'd love to work in the CVICU. I was hoping they'd post the application today, but it's not up yet.

Thanks! Valley Children's Healthcare!

What unit will you be on at Valley? I've applied to them many times as a new grad for their regular positions and never had luck.

definitely keep applying. Their hiring process is based on resume (according to the recruiter)! I'm in PICU

Have you had your interview with NICU yet? If so, how was it?

Thanks!

I'm hoping it went well! Haven't heard anything yet, so not quite sure...

How was yours?

Does anyone know how many new grads they're hiring for NICU?

I haven't heard yet from the NICU either and had my interview on 12/13. I asked during my interview and they said 6-8 spots for 35 interviewees. I don't think we should give up hope yet

Just got a call to interview for the Medical Unit on Monday December 18th at 8:30AM!

Anybody have any tips?

Best of luck everyone!

Hey, did you get a follow up email from Jennifer yesterday about bringing your license/certifications? I wasn't sure if she wanted copies or just wanted me to bring the real thing.

Has anyone gotten an official offer email from HR for the Picu position?

Have people already gotten interviews for PICU?

I never heard from PICU for interview. Didn't know they already held them.

unless @newgrad2017 meant official offer for interview.

I wanted to send you a PM but wasn't sure if you would be able to get it due to you not having posted enough yet, but what do you mean the hiring process is based on resume? I applied to their PICU twice already and was rejected both times. Do you have any previous experience or are you fresh new grad too? Was there any specific posting you applied to or was it just their regular positions? (I was told to apply to regular positions because if hired, I would automatically be placed into the bottom of their rank/hierarchy)

That's what I'm hoping they meant. Didn't get a call for an interview yet and still have my fingers crossed that I do!

Hey guys,

I had an interview this week. But i don't think they finished the interviewing process? Don't lose hope just yet. P.s I didn't ask how many they are interviewing and hiring.

Anyone interviewing with CVICU?
