Hello New Grads! :D

Just wanted to start a tread for CHOC's RN Residency for Feb 2015! I'm was so excited to hear that they are holding a Winter Residency. I applied to the Medical Unit and am anxiously waiting to hear any news! The application is still open for those of you who have not yet applied. I have heard there are only 12 openings. Good luck everyone!!

I just received a call from the Neuroscience Unit manager and I GOT THE JOB!!!!! I am SOOO ecstatic and just in shock! For all you externals, IT IS POSSIBLE!!!!! :D

Omg Nori021 that's awesome!!! Congrats! If u don't mind me asking do u have any other medical experience? Do u have ur BSN?

Thank you so much!! I do not have any other medical experience, and yes, I do have my BSN. I have prior experience working with children ages 3mos-5yrs in my previous job, but that's about it. I did my clinical rotations & preceptorship at CHOC, but not on the neuro unit. So that job offer came as a very pleasant surprise and I'm really excited. :) I am so sorry for the agonizing wait to hear back from PICU, but seeing as how people have already gotten rejections, I have a good feeling that no news TRULY IS good news, and I am praying for all of you still in the running!

I actually have a friend that works in the PICU. I can ask him if he's heard if they made decisions or why he thinks it may be taking so long!
