CHOA New Grad Nurse Residency May 2020

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hey y’all!
Since the application opened for the nurse residency program at CHOA, I decided to start a thread ? I’m so nervous but I have officially submitted my application. Best of luck y’all. Let the games begin!

still waiting. anxious to hear soon since CHOA is my top choice!

also haven't heard anything, neither have the other people in my program who have also applied, we're all external. at this point I've just kind of given up LOL, luckily I have interviews at 2 childrens hospitals in tennessee so I'm thankful for that

Yeah I don’t feel told good about it either at this point. Also external. I think if you specified critical care as your major areas of interest the chances are lower that they get back to you since so many people want those units. Just what I’m assuming

Do anyone have any of the Nurse Recruiters contact information?

Slowly losing hope. Wish I could know one way or another just to have some sort of closure!!

A recruiter came to my school for a career fair on Feb 28th, she said that most of their spots had filled and that basically if you haven't heard anything in a month then there's no spots left. I gave her my resume and followed up with an email but she was a recruiter specifically just for Universities so nothing came of it. I would say don't hold out hope they seem to hire mostly internally

Did anyone apply/get accepted for the Periop program that starts in August 2020 at CHOA?

@jansenrenee22 I applied for this program and completed a hirevue interview. But have not heard anything yet. How about you?

Is anyone on here applying for the fall residency for Summer grads? Anyone heard back?
