CHOA New Grad Nurse Residency May 2020

Published

Hey y’all!
Since the application opened for the nurse residency program at CHOA, I decided to start a thread ? I’m so nervous but I have officially submitted my application. Best of luck y’all. Let the games begin!

Where did you see this application? All I can find is for start dates in Feb/March 2020

I sent in my application & had an interview. Have you heard back yet?

Hey! So I applied internally. I put my units but I work there as a float tech so I haven’t had any interviews ? did you interview on your home unit? Or on the units you chose?

On one of the units I chose! Hopefully we will hear back soon, I know it's a really long process.

Yay! What units did you choose? I put CICU, PICU, & CIRU. I’m so nervous. I just feel like no one is trying to get back to me

I think they literally JUST finished interviews for december graduates, so I'm sure we are the last priority until they finish up their paperwork since they start in a few months. ? Don't lose hope!!

hey!

i applied recently too but have not heard anything back yet. my choices were NICU, CICU, and OR. I know the PICU has already started hiring!!

they have also already hired in the ED and a few other places I believe! but I think that is for people who work in those units directly

I accepted a position in the PICU. Best of luck ya'll!! ?

Did you guys include a cover letter? I can't decide if I feel it's necessary or not

I applied internally as well in mid November and haven't heard anything back. However, others on my unit have started to get calls to set up interviews. My top 3 specialites of interest were Cardiac ICU, PICU, and ED.
