Hi Nurses :)

Wanted to start a new forum for those of you applying for the RN New Grad Program for the Spetemper 2013 cohort.

I did it in the ED too. What hospital where you at? Did you have peds references? Thanks and good luck with your interview!!

I did my ED preceptorship at Stanford. I did not have any peds references because our Peds teacher quit my school and cannot be found! lol. I turned in 2 letters from clinical instructors (Med-surg & L&D) and 1 from my clinical preceptor. Hope this helps!

Cool! Thanks! I wanted to add a letter from my old boss at the school I use to teach at but a recruiter told me not to. Maybe if I don't get a call I'll do that when I reapply in March! Where did you go to school? I'm afraid that the recruiters aren't recognizing my school but they should know it right!? I mean it's not in CA but it's a great school. Hoping that helps me out since I did my capstone at Duke.

@ner214, I live in West Covina. How are you preparing? I dont even have my PALS yet, but I am thinking about getting it before the interview.

Oh nice, I'm in diamond bar! Yes, I've got PALS already. What school did u graduate from? I know someone in my cohort who lives in West Covina. I just double checked and my interview is on the 7th @ 10am so 2 days before you.

I havent heard of anyone getting an interview for 6 west/east either. It seems like they are doing it unit by unit, covering 2-3 units each day.....Here's to hoping they call for med/surg and OR monday!

Does anybody have an idea of what they would ask at a prescreening interview? I am way beyond nervous:cry:

Thanks for the info! 6 West was my #1 and 6 East was my #2, so hopefully thy haven't called for 6 west yet :)

I'm hearing from multiple people the biggest question they ask you is why you want to work in that unit
