U.S.A. California

Hey! I wanted to started the newest thread for the September 2014 CHLA RN Residency applicants! I just sent in my application. Where is everyone from and what unit are you looking to land a job on?

Post as you please!

I picked hematology/oncology as my first choice and PICU as my second. I precepted in oncology, but it was adults, not pediatrics. I also feel like being on the east coast may lessen my chances. Good luck to everyone!

i feel the same way. Where in the east coast are you from?

I'm also in the east coast. New York. Hope that doesn't lower my chances

Hi everyone! Glad to join the party. I picked 1) CV Acute, and 2) 5 West Med/Surg. Excited to start hearing some news! I am in SoCal, so hand-delivered. Very unimpressive, though, it was just a booth and a lady who said thank you, lol. No Nurse Recruiters to rub elbows with!

North NJ, 10 minutes outside of nyc.

Did you do any clinical rotations at CHLA?

I hand delivered mine too. Same situation :)

Sadly no.

Just saw this thread! I dropped off my application in person, it was very informal but everyone was very friendly. I just completed my final preceptorship at CHLA and have fallen IN LOVE with the hospital, the patients and the nurses. Fingers crossed!! I chose Oncology as my number one and ED as my number 2. Good luck everyone :)

Has anyone heard anything yet?
