CHLA RN Residency Program September 2014

U.S.A. California

Published

Hey! I wanted to started the newest thread for the September 2014 CHLA RN Residency applicants! I just sent in my application. Where is everyone from and what unit are you looking to land a job on?

Post as you please!

@cnursetobe a friend of a friend was hired for September 2013 Cohort and she is from out of state but not sure if she did phone/skype for her interview.

I wish the best of luck to everyone! I wonder how many applicants they had all together for this cohort. I can't wait for the deadline to pass so we can start hearing back

I know. Same. But I worry I would be a less desirable candidate because I'm out-of-state.

Does anyone know when they'll start letting people know if they're chosen for an interview?

Hi everyone! :) I applied too! 1. BMT and 2. CV Step down

Thanks for starting this thread and good luck to everyone!

Does anyone know when they'll start letting people know if they're chosen for an interview?

from what I read on past threads, they usually notify those selected for first round interviews within 2 weeks after the packet deadline

Just as cnursetobe said, 1-2 weeks post packet deadline. The recruiter came to my school and gave that time frame for round 1 interviews!

Hi! I am waiting patiently too! I did 5 east and surgery :)

Thank you!!!! I applied to NICCU and PICU!

Specializes in Neuro, Camp.

I'm from Los Angeles, but am in Missouri now for school! Hoping to move back. I chose 5 West and ED. Since submitting my packet, I have gotten more interested in NICU, though - do they ever interview for units other than your top 2 choices? Was so hard for me to pick originally. So excited to hear this week or next!

I agree I felt the same. I did my preceptorship in the NICU but picked PICU and oncology but if I could still also be considered for NICU as well I would like that. Hopefully we can get the chance to ask when they start making calls.

I'm so excited to see hear from fellow CHLA 2014 applicants! I was feeling super alone on this nerve wracking process but now I feel a bit of relief :)

I picked onc (1) and med/surg (2). Good luck to everyone!! Please post any news you get
