CHLA RN Residency Program September 2012

Hello nurses!! :) is anyone else applying for the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles RN Residency Program that starts September 4th, 2012??? :)

Any news from CHLA? Anybody?

not yet. although there's talk that ucla and uc davis and white memorial are getting calls. so maybe, maybe CHLA will be soon. hopefully. :)

Got my rejection letter the other day..said they were overwhelmed with the number of applicants in this cohort. I turned in my application on the last day of the deadline though. Don't know if that has got to do with it. I had to wait last minute because one of my recommendation letter was written by my Ped CI who is one of the managers there..thought that would help but i guess not =(

UCLA scheduled an interview with me for PEDS unit though..I hope i find better luck there. lol

I think it's interesting that those that got rejected by UCLA tend to make it to interviews at CHLA and vice versa. Anyone ever get an interview to both?

they said this week our packets are being reviewed by the managers and by the 23rd u should get an interview if not you can take that as your rejection emails (since they said it takes a while to send out rejection emails)...hope this helps a little i dont know how early they could potentially start making calls but i would assume not till next week

Thanks for the update! Did they confirm that they received your particular packet? It makes me nervous that there was no confirmation of that. Also, do you know how much notice they give for interviews? I'll be flying in from Boston so the more notice the better, unless they wait until I'm home in May for interviews.

Don't know the answer to the second part of your question. But as to the first part, they don't personally confirm if they received the packet.
