CHLA RN Residency Program September 2012

Hello nurses!! :) is anyone else applying for the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles RN Residency Program that starts September 4th, 2012??? :)

Does anyone know how many people applied and how many are they planning to take? Thanks

My friend who was hired in the recent cohort told me that there were about 900 applicants and they are looking to hire about 60 new grads.

60 sounds a lot!... would love for it to be 60 new grads. But that is almost full staff for 3 to 4 units.

yes, 60 is little but that's actually a lot more than most places hire. stanford and davis are big hospitals but they only hired about 30. last corhot i believe CHLA only hired about 50.

60 is pretty good, compared to some other big hospitals. Good luck :nurse:

just FYI... last app period i remember people were getting calls for interviews about 2 weeks after the packet deadline and getting rejection emails about 1 month after the packet deadline. just in case anyone was curious...

I am seriously caught in a flurry of deadlines and applications... so has it been more than 2 weeks since the packet deadline? I sent my packet asap, so I didn't really pay attention to the deadline.

I know what you mean!! But it hasn't been 2 weeks since deadline. Packet deadline was Monday, March 26th.

Thanks! I tried to keep all the deadlines and stuff straight by writing it on a piece of paper... but I kinda lost that guy. Haha.
