Anyone share with me positive or negative experiences they've had with Chiropractors? Do you feel they helped you?
Thanks!

Chriropractors receive a "doctorate" from a two or four-year programme; there are even programs that award an undergraduate and a "doctorate" simultaneously. They don't do residencies, or have prescriptive authority, and aren't supposed to do invasive procedures, although some do.

This thread is so old, I have NO idea why I am posting on it... but just want to clarify this, as I am sure it could be read as the gospel since it's on the internet, right?
Chiropractors in the US attending an accredited college of chiropractic need a minimum of 90 credits to be accepted into a chiropractic program, which for the average student is about 3 years of undergrad. Once in the chiropractic program, they can go straight through and finish in 3.5 years, or take summers off and complete the program in 5 years.
Option #1 = a total of 6.5 years of school
Option #2 - a total of 8 years of school.
Not sure where the "two or four-year programme" info comes from. It's a doctoral degree, taught by educators with DC's, PhD's, MD's, etc, and involves thousands of hours of didactic and clinical education - not some education received via a "two year programme."
Even if you don't personally agree with chiropractic care, making such a gross misrepresentation of facts only reveals your lack of education about the field which you are knocking.
