Hey guys! I am starting this for the March 2024 Cohort at CHLA. As people hear back about interviews, hopefully we can update each other.

Yeah, I am actually an out-of-state applicant! So, I got an offer here in WA state (on an NICCU Unit), where I am from! I will say that the CHLA timeline and waiting game is definitely much longer than other residencies I've applied to in CA and WA. Some other programs I looked into were UCLA, Miller Children's and Women, Rady's, and USC! Good luck to everyone on their interviews! <333

amazing! im happy for you. I wish I was brave enough to apply out of state but with the way my student loans are looking...I am not leaving my parents house just yet ?. but thank you! and good luck to you!

hopefully theyre just sorting things out still cause this is so weird! I def expect to hear back from atleast one of them.

also IDK if anyone applied to california hospital med. center (not peds) but I applied yesterday for the new grad program in the ED and got a response super quick and have an interview tomorrow via zoom. I also applied to PIH good samaritan yesterday and got an email today to basically "preference" my units and they have NICU and L&D! so def apply there too

Thank you for this! Definitely applying right now !

Thank you so much for responding....best of luck to you! I really hope you get it! This is also my second time applying but I didn't make it to 2nd interview last time ? man this is making me lose so much hope in finding a job in a area I want

of course! what units did you preference? and for your latest comment yes apply! CHMC is def a stretch for me because ED is so out of my comfort zone but at this point I cannot be choosey anymore

I applied to 6E and 5E I really would love to work in peds or L&D but it's so hard to find new grad programs. I'm feeling the same way about ED but might just have to apply with what I can to get experience as a nurse as a new grad and pursue my passion after

yeah especially since LA is so competitive, but hopefully something will stick! I believe in us!!

OMG @pinklover I just looked at CHMC again and they posted L&D new grad positions too!!

I just received an email for second interview 4east. sending positive vibes everyone !

Just finished my 2nd interview w CV Acute! Overall pretty easy, I think ?

Asked about why CHLA/why the unit, tell me about a time you had to set professional boundaries, tell me about a time you made a mistake, and where do you see yourself in 3-5 years

Were you 30 min in person?

Mine was 30ish mins on teams

For those that have in person interviews, are you bringing copies of your resume/cover letter? also has anyone interviewed for the BMT unit before, super nervous since it's over an hour long ..

Anyone heard back for PACU? & Does anyone know if they send out rejections if you don't get 2nd interview? ty in advance!
