I am applying to Chemeketa's nursing program for Fall 2016. I am curious if anyone has any information about the test that they will be doing now instead of the essay? I'm mostly wondering how it will be graded? I wish we weren't the first year to have to do the test.. I'm worried about how it will be.
Yes, you get to keep your higher score. And I think with an 88 you have nothing to worry about. That's the 2nd highest score I've heard of someone getting. I think those girls are retaking it because they are nervous that their score won't be good enough to get them accepted. I think we're all basing it off the fact that, in previous years, individuals could only miss 2 points in order to get accepted. This test is completely different and no one knows what to expect. I've been reading other forums and people with scores as low as 70 have gotten accepted into their program. I still feel like high 70's and up is great.
Smill, I saw you got 81% on your test. I took mine today and got an 82%. I was happy with my score and will not be retaking it. It's hard to know in the end what will be needed, but I feel like a score in the 80's is competitive, at least. Plus, the instructions said you only get two attempts period, regardless of how many times you apply. I would want to be sure my second attempt would give me a considerably higher score.

I think there's only one student with alternate points this year too so you don't have to worry much about that. The lowest that got in last year was 358 (which is the same score about half of us had).
