Hello Everybody!!

I thought I would go ahead and start a thread for the CHEM-101 online class for the Summer of 09.

Hopefully this can be a place where we can help each other out if any of us get confused!

I am getting the wrong answers for the last two questions as well. I think the answers might be wrong too, but I am not sure yet. I am going to look into it some more.

If you sign up for the textbook's companion website with the little pull out green cardboard thing towards the front of the book, there is a section on the website for corrected areas of the student solutions manual. There are corrections for chapters 1-18, so you might want to check into it! HTH!

What class are you in? I'm in Chem 101-11R with ****** ***** and I just finished the first lab.

I am in ****** class, He hasn't given us our section number yet. I cannot register at latnite without it. First quiz is not posted either. I took the practice only.

Uugggggh! I hate when things are not organized with online classes. It makes ya just down right nervous. I dropped my online A & P course because the professor didn't have his act together. I signed up for another A & P just in time. This prof is much better.

I hope they get things ironed out for you soon.

Samulation- I have your same instructor. I got the section number from the syllabus. He has directions on registering for latenite labs. there aren't any labs posted yet though.

Let's see...once signed in, a separate window pops up with a yellow file that contains the labs. The first lab is an introduction on how to move equipment, pour in chemicals, detect reaction with thermometer, read data window, and record results in lab report. You then submit report to instructor for credit. Make sure you are looking for pop up window because when I first tried to access site, I would enter my user name and password and nothing would happen. I thought I was going crazy. Anyway, keep us posted

Un-believable! I just rechecked the syllabus and cannot find a section number. I looked at the one on B/B and it is different that the one I printed and does has the section number on it. I was able to print the syllabus 2 weeks ago The course was listed on my blackboard 2 weeks ago. I couldn't figure out why everyone else was waiting. Now I see they must have had me loaded with old information and then up-dated the first day. BlackBoard is as consistent as the info sessions I attended.

I think the professor thought that the class was suppose to start May 26th, posted info on blackboard, then figured out that he was mistaken and took the info off of blackboard. He has since made a new syllabus with new dates.

Iam there, But the area for available labs is empty on mine, no practice.
