I wanted to see if anyone else on here plans to apply for the nursing program. I feel like my points (30) is pretty low, but Im still going to apply to see what happens. If you're applying, how many points do you have?

I had 34, but I was in a weird situation because I was still taking math when the application was due. I included a note from my math teacher stating I had an A at the time, though. I technically had 37 points before the letters were sent out.

I actually live in Seale, Al. I have a friend that lives in Columbus that received her acceptance letter today as well. She had 38 points.

Gosh I wish I would have taken A&P 2 before applying. I applied with ACT of 25 and then 7 points from grades in math, eng, and A&P 1. I would have made it for sure if I had!

Nope, it hasn't changed yet.

I know you said something about trying for Columbus Tech, but have you looked into Southern Union? They are like the sister school of CVCC, and they have a program that starts in the spring. Are you taking A&P 2 this summer?

When I was 19 (16 years ago), I made 7 Fs at SU. I was stupid and didn't even understand how withdrawal worked. So I would have a lot to do to try to get around that "must have a 2.0 GPA AT SU" caveat.

I'm thinking CTC because I've already taken the pre-NLN and made a 135. That's how I got into an RN program in KY.

I am taking A&P 2 this summer along with Public speaking. Then I'm tackling Micro in the Fall. CTC lets you finish prerequisites during the application semester and they wait for grades before making a decision.

I'm glad you said that because I wasn't sure how that worked. I am getting ready to take a&p online over the summer to raise my gpa but plan to apply to CTC and CSU and of course reapply to cvcc this fall.

I applied with 36 points and I haven't gotten any mail at all.. I'm freaking out.. I live in Columbus and I just went to the post office on Milgen and they do not have any mail for me. :(

They sent mine to the wrong PO and then back to the regional facility in Montgomery! My postmaster is emailing them today to make sure my letter gets to my PO in the morning so I can go pick it up when they open. It's ridiculous!
