I wanted to see if anyone else on here plans to apply for the nursing program. I feel like my points (30) is pretty low, but Im still going to apply to see what happens. If you're applying, how many points do you have?
I'm happy to have made an account to see all of these tidbits of information.. Whew, I'm glad I didn't put all my eggs in one basket. A 25 score is the bottom of the totem pole :). CV wanted me to take Bio103 like that is supposed to be done before entering the program (it took me by surprise, since I didn't see that info anywhere). So, if I were to get a letter this week I would be in a pinch trying to register for that class because they are probably all filled up. Thankfully, if I am accepted (but probably not) I registered/paid for a slot like a month ago, but if I didn't make it in and one of you need it, there will be one available during add/drop... I also registered/paid for CT, but CT lets me jump right into A and P without having to do the baby step. I'm glad I made all of these arrangements a while ago and didn't wait until the last minute... Thanks everybody for the info. I hope to apply for CT, CV and SU next year with at least a 36. Any of you taking A and P at CT this summer?
ClarafutureRN, Thank you!! I am going to apply to CSU nursing program in January and reapply to cvcc in December. I was able to pick up my letter on Tuesday the 8th in the afternoon because I have issues with my post office. I'm not sure if by that time the rest of the letters went out or not. I'm sure you will get in to this program. Happy Birthday!!!
Well it is what it is. Plan B is try for Spring at Columbus Tech. I'm praying that by some slim chance, CVCC will give me a few extra points for being in an RN program before (ex was military and we had to move in the middle of the 1st semester) I'd rather do a less intense 5 semester program than the 3 crammed semesters at CTC :/
Has anyone taken the NLN Pax?
Thank you for letting me know, ClarafutureRN ! That makes me feel a little bit better because if I apply for SU I'll have 37 points. Depending on how they calculate my English points at CV, I had 34-35 points. Now I have 37-38 points, though. I included a note from my math professor, but I'm not sure if they took that into consideration.
Do you have a Pirate Web account at CV? It displays your major, so it might give a heads up on acceptance status.
Happy Birthday, btw!!
Thank you! I wasn't a student at CVCC so I don't know my log in information. I think I'm just gonna wait it out until the letter comes! Hopefully it will come in tomorrow. Is anyone using the Informed Delivery that USPS offers? Is it showing any mail coming?
My letter is in packages on informed delivery. It is coming tomorrow for me in Smiths, Al.
