Chattahoochee Technical College ASN Fall 2016

Published

My name is Jamie. I attended the first application session today at Chattahoochee Tech for the Fall 2016 program. I've enjoyed following the last two groups of prospective students on these boards and thought I would see if I could get one started for the 2016 applicants. I'd love to get to know other prospectives and share the emotional rollercoaster that hopefully ends on a high!! :)

Never thought of you as evil! Just informative. That is appreciated even if it does make me want to throw up. Ha ha Thank you!

Well don't get sick yet the wait has just begun.

I got the letter about the changes today too so don't worry :). I am just thankful it wasn't a rejection letter . Have a good weekend!

I'm guessing memorial day might have messed up our mail. Mine was postmarked 5/27. Nothing should take six days to arrive from a few counties over...

Thank goodness my letter was just the changes to the interview:nailbiting:

Thinking positively: Anyone know what books are needed first year? Do we need to buy and keep or should we rent? I like renting, but I imagine there might be a few that we want to keep.

I'm not sure of which books but I'm sure they are on the book store website if you just wanted to get an idea. I typically buy and keep anything actually related to the field for future reference. I actually still use some of my books from when I did my medical assisting degree......actually used them more after then during the course cause everything made more sense when in the field and wanting to reference it.

Last year, our fundamentals book was an ebook package with online components that we needed for assignments. No way around buying it that I remember.

You will also receive ATI books. There should be a drug book too.

In addition, I would suggest to buy a diagnosis handbook. Mine is by Betty J. Ackley MSN EdS RN and Gail B. Ladwig MSN RN. Found used on Amazon. This is incredibly helpful for care plans when you start clinicals.

Thank you for being such a huge resource Biscuits&Cheese! Such a huge and helpful gift! It's very nice of you to do knowing that your so busy to care about future students and there success!

Thank you, Patricia!

I remember vividly being in your place! I wanted to get my hands on as much info as possible. Summer semester has started for the seniors - 2 days in and we are all behind. I have to get ready to deliver a SIM baby next Wednesday!

nothing to see here... move along :D
