My name is Jamie. I attended the first application session today at Chattahoochee Tech for the Fall 2016 program. I've enjoyed following the last two groups of prospective students on these boards and thought I would see if I could get one started for the 2016 applicants. I'd love to get to know other prospectives and share the emotional rollercoaster that hopefully ends on a high!! :)

Letters are to be mailed on the 24th...

Ah, ok. I was going to start looking for letters in the mail next week but I guess we can all try to relax until the 24th. Thanks for the info.

Yes. Regardless, there is a beaten path (in concrete) to my mailbox bc I choose, against odds, to believe that they will let us know early. Even when they have told me that they won't.:no: Ha ha ha

MMR, Tetorifice/Diptheria, Hep B, Varicella and TB are what we need vaccination records or titers for...correct? Just going by my notes. Can't find it on their website. Have a check up today. Don't want to miss one. :) Thanks!

Well, it turned out the lady partsl birth was uncomplicated (mom delivered baby out in two big pushes), but the neonate did have some serious issues my partner and I had to address. Overall, a success!

Next Wednesday, I have another OB SIM. Everyone has different schedules for these SIMS - some people are at clinicals instead.

Congrats, Patricia! Good luck next week. Hearing stories like that gets me excited. There is so much I'm terrified of, but hearing about learning to deliver babies gives me an excitement that is so much bigger than all my fears combined! Thrilled for you!!

Yes it is!!! Friday is the day they are mailed. Woot! However, the last two classes didn't seem to get their letters until second week of July. I hope they aren't late!! I can't take this anymore.

Hello everyone, my name is Vicki. I have applied for the Associates in Nursing program and I am on pins and needles waiting. I can relate to everyone on here! LOL Knowing that they take only 40 to 50 people and seeing how many people were at the application session I attended does not make me feel all warm and fuzzy. I have taken all of the classes but Microbiology which I am taking this semester. Should not be much longer! Good luck everyone!

Warning! Warning! Went to my mailbox today and there was a letter from Chattahoochee Tech. It was just the 2016-2017 Aid award notice! UGH!!! Thought I should warn everyone that those are arriving. It was a heart check! LOL

Thanks for that! That is a wicked form of cruel and unusual punishment. Ha ha ha My mail comes so late in the afternoon. But I figure I'll know the day letters start arriving bc I'll hear it here first.
